TNK202TB - 16.5oz "YURAI" Selvedge Natural Indigo x Cobalt - High Tapered

The Yurai High Tapered from Tanuki uses one of the most expressive fabrics in their lineup - a 16.5oz natural indigo selvedge denim with a cobalt-dyed weft. The color alone sets this pair apart, with a cool, luminous tone that subtly shifts depending on the light. The weave is loose and full of texture, with a soft, fuzzy hand that gives the denim a warm, organic feel right from the start. With wear, the natural indigo warp fades to lighter indigo while the cobalt weft continues to shine through, producing wild, high-contrast fade patterns that are anything but typical. This is a blue lovers dream. For fans of denim that leans artistic without losing grit, this is one of Tanuki’s best.

Fit Notes: Shop owner Tommy is wearing a size 34 in the pictures. The High Tapered seems to have a larger waist to accompany that heavy taper. This was a roomy fit in the waist with ample room in the thigh and leg for a tapered jean. We recommend sizing up at least once from what you normally wear. Tommy is 5'10," 162lbs with a 33-34" waist depending on the rise.
