SJVT24-AK - 'Aimadara' Spotted Mixed Field Vest - Natural Indigo

We heard natural indigo and we were in. It seems like anything Samurai produces in natural indigo is an instant hit. But, it's so much more than we even expected. Their entire goal was to create a garment that looked like it had been overdyed with black (without having to overdye the fabric). To accomplish this, they've combined black yarn with natural and synthetic rope-dyed yarn. The black is dyed with a reactive dye meaning it will hold fast while the indigo fades away. We can only imagine the fades on this thing as the mottled pattern reveals itself. They've also exposed the face of the yarn in a funky way to create this spotted look through dobby weaving. They've taken the classic field silhouette, the one you saw in the zippered jacket version of this, and chopped it up into a Field Vest.
