S5000ZX - 17oz "Zero" Selvedge Denim Jeans - Regular Straight O/W

The "Zero" fabric has been on our radar from the beginning. It's one of, if not the most famous Samurai denim. Well, this round they've done it with the zipper - another thing not often seen from Samurai. This is no ordinary zipper, it's a Scoville "Gripper" zipper. This fabric was first introduced in 2004 after a long development period. It is their tried and true. They've used an uneven No. 5 yarn for both the warp and weft for maximum fading potential. They finished it off with the gold and red selvedge ticker.

Fit Notes: Andy is wearing a size 31 in these. He is typically a 30 in North American brands and 31 in Japanese brands. These are a classic straight with plenty of room throughout. The one-wash also helps with getting a proper size as you don't have to worry as much about shrinkage. Don't be afraid to size up, though. 95% of our returns are because people buy too small of a size. Shop owner Tommy is our standard fit model and wears a size 32. Tommy is 5'10,' 165lbs with a 32-33" waist. His typical Japanese size is 32.
