S3000XX17oz-SDS - 17oz "Murasame" Rain Slub Selvedge Jeans - Relaxed Straight

The S3000XX17oz-SDS “Murasame” is Samurai’s latest relaxed straight fit, constructed from a richly textured 17oz slub denim that reflects their most poetic sensibilities. “Murasame,” or “village rain,” is the inspiration behind the wash of indigo tones in this proprietary fabric, which combines deep, uneven dye saturation with a wildly irregular slub pattern. The result is a denim that’s streaky, stormy, and primed for bold vertical fades. Built on a high-rise WWII-style block with a full thigh and wide leg, these wear as comfortably as they do dramatically. Samurai rounds out the package with custom jacquard pocket bags, engraved rivets, and a leather patch printed with custom "rain" artwork - every detail underscoring their commitment to narrative-driven craftsmanship.

Fit Notes: Shop owner Tommy went back to his standard size of 34 on these. Keep in mind, these are unsanforized but they have been washed to remove shrinkage. So the measurements will reflect that. We recommend you start with one size bigger than you think you are, and see if the measurements work for your desired fit. These have a higher rise, so the waist is going to read smaller than the slim straight. If you plan to wear them low, you may need to size up more than once. Tommy would likely wear a 35 in these. He is 5'10,' 165lbs with a 33-34" waist.
