S0710XX - 15oz Limited "Washi" Selvedge Denim - Slim Straight

The S0710XX “Washi” denim from Samurai is built around an unconventional material choice that gives the fabric its character from the start. Traditional Japanese washi paper is blended into the weft yarns, drawing on a material long used in calligraphy and shoji screens for its strength and lightness. The warp yarns are spun from extra-long staple cotton, selected for a smooth, almost silk-like hand that contrasts nicely with the texture introduced by the washi.

The result is a 15oz selvedge denim that feels distinct on the body, breathable and dry with a structured drape that holds its shape. Given a single rinse to remove shrinkage, the fabric retains its texture while being ready to wear from day one. Cut in Samurai’s Slim Straight fit, the silhouette sits low at the waist with a slim thigh and a gentle taper through the leg, finished with the brand’s usual attention to construction and detail throughout.

Fit Notes: Shop owner Tommy is wearing a 35 in these. He decided to go up on this pair because of its slim nature. He's been feeling a little cramped in 34's, so this really paid off. It was a stellar fit in the waist, if not slightly small for him. These are one of the trimmest pairs, so we would recommend sizing up twice. Tommy is 5'9,' 165lbs with a 33-34" waist.
