The Uguisu denim is one of the most unique fabrics Samurai has ever produced. This rare “outside Japan only” release takes its name from the small bird pictured on the flasher, with a color inspired by its plumage. The 17oz slubby left-hand twill is modeled after vintage British military cloth, woven at the renowned Shinya Mills with all the texture and irregularity Samurai is known for. The one-wash treatment softens the edge just enough to make it wearable from day one, while leaving the crisp hand and crunch intact. Packed with character, deeply limited, and unlike anything else on the market, this seasonal run stands as one of the most impressive pairs we’ve seen come through the shop. A beautiful full-circle moment happened when we saw one of these birds in person in Japan last Spring.

Fit Notes: Shop owner Tommy is wearing a 34 in the images. It's a classic regular straight with the perfect amount of width. These have a waist that mathes the tag size, so we highly recommend sizing up once (at a minimum). Tommy is 5'10,' 160lbs with a 32-33" waist.
