The Story
The Washi Pile Crew is a continuation of our love for terry loop, heavy pile socks. The uppers are made with an elastic stretch to help them stay up and don't have a pile, but the base (foot part) of the sock has a heavy, comfy pile. It makes you feel like you're walking on a cloud. These are made with a paper thread and pile weave for a crisp, but refreshing feel. Washi Paper is known for its water absorption and release properties. It's also very strong. It's usually very difficult to pile, but these babies are made on special knitting machines by outstanding craftsmen in Japan.
