The Story
The Warehouse & Co. Lot 3022 Flannel Shirt is a faithful reproduction of pre-1950s American work shirts, built from a fabric that most brands simply cannot access. The flannel is woven on old-fashioned power looms found only in a limited number of areas in Japan, the only way to preserve the gentle, uneven texture of the yarn without the tension of a modern loom destroying it. The back of the fabric is brushed following period-correct manufacturing methods, creating a soft, bulked-up hand that gets richer with every wear. The G pattern takes its design from the fabric sample books of Braveman, a defunct American shirt manufacturer, and the chinstrap closure is reproduced directly from the original vintage reference. Details are obsessive throughout: a pen slot on the left chest pocket, selvedge gussets at the hem, a union ticket hidden behind the placket, and original nut buttons that match the pre-war source material.
