Warehouse & Co.’s Lot 1228 draws directly from mid-19th century workwear, reviving a rare 1874 3-pocket overall pattern with stunning historical accuracy. Cut from a custom-woven duck stripe fabric that replicates antique textile samples, the cloth is both dense and breathable - an early example of performance-minded utility. The standout feature is the heavy leather edge binding, faithfully reproduced with natural cowhide trim that’s stitched along the outer seams, pocket edges, and bib line, offering not only durability but an unmistakable vintage character. The triple front pockets, high bib, and cinch-back adjuster nod to early American overalls, when tailoring met industry in the clothing of miners, railroad men, and farmers. All hardware, from the exposed rivets to the buttons and suspender attachments, has been designed to match 19th-century originals. Made in Japan to Warehouse’s exacting archival standards, this piece isn’t just heritage-inspired - it’s practically a museum exhibit you can wear.

These trousers are unsanforized, meaning it is a shrink-to-fit. Due to this, we recommend buying 2 sizes bigger than the size you're aiming for on final shrink. Please keep in mind that after the first wash these will typically shrink by approximately 6 cm (2.4 inches) in the waist and length.
Fit Notes: Tommy is wearing a 32 in these pants. While these fit great for now, he would buy at least a size 33 in order to account for the shrink rate. Luckily this fit is quite roomy everywhere else, so if you can get the waist calculations right, you should be golden on the rest of the fit. Tommy is 5'10," 165lbs with a 33-34" waist.
