The Jackman Long Sleeve Dotsume T-Shirt is built around one thing above all else: density. Knitted in Japan from 100% American cotton, the 11.5oz dotsume fabric is produced on vintage loopwheel machines that prioritize tension and structure over softness out of the gate. The result is a shirt that feels substantial in hand, holds its shape relentlessly, and shrugs off repeated wear and washing without twisting or collapsing.

This long sleeve version pushes the concept even further. The weight and rigidity land closer to a lightweight crewneck sweatshirt than a standard tee, while still wearing like a T-shirt. The fit is boxy and balanced, with a sturdy ribbed neckline that anchors the whole piece. It’s unapologetically heavy, intentionally old-school, and easily one of the most substantial cotton knits Jackman produces.

A variance of .5" is within tolerance. 

Fit Notes: Shop owner Tommy is wearing a large by rule from Jackman. He likes the roomier fit and it accounts for shrinkage. His size and weight would make him a Medium in this, but he prefers more room in tees and pants these days. We recommend sizing up once in this t-shirt, but this is slightly boxier than the short-sleeve version. So keep that in mind. Tommy is 5'9," 165lbs with a 40" chest.
