IHV-52-OLV - 12oz Duck Canvas Hunting Vest - Olive

A new hunting vest silhouette, inspired by the half-moon work vests that showed up on farms and job sites throughout the 1940s and '50s, cut from a hardwearing 12oz Japanese duck canvas and kept deliberately stripped back. The canvas is woven in Japan with direct-dyed yarns, meaning the color is driven deep into the fiber rather than sitting on the surface, giving it a slow, earned fade over time - more subtle than rope-dyed denim but with noticeably more character than a standard reactive dye. Three oversized vintage-style 4-hole buttons run the placket, the pockets are the deep half-moon patch style the silhouette is named for, and two buttoned rear cinches let you adjust the fit at the waist. Seams are taped at the arm holes, stitching is tonal throughout, and the construction mixes single, double and triple needle work where each is called for.

Designed by Shinichi Haraki and handmade by WORKS INC. in Japan, this is a vest that earns its keep as a daily layer without trying to be anything more than it is.

A variance of +/-.5" is within tolerance. 

Fit Notes: Tommy wears a large an XL in almost all tops from Iron Heart. He decided to go with the same in this vest, even though sometimes silhouettes like this can feel roomier. The measurements seemed to be best in the XL, and it fit the way he likes, with a little extra room. We always recommend sizing up at least once in Iron Heart if you don't know your true size. Tommy is 5'9," 165lbs with a 41" chest.
