First issued to US servicemen in 1965, the original M65 was designed as a cold-weather field jacket built for utility and protection. This version takes that foundation and pushes it further, replacing traditional military sateen with a dense, heavyweight 21oz Japanese Melton wool. The classic M65 structure remains intact, four patch pockets, hooded collar, epaulettes, and drawcord adjustments, but the fabric choice radically changes the experience. The wool is double-woven at a higher density than previous Iron Heart Melton releases, delivering serious wind resistance and insulation. Paired with a water-resistant Japanese Ventile lining, this is a true winter M65 built without compromise, designed by Shinichi Haraki and constructed entirely in Japan by WORKS INC.

Fit Notes: Tommy is wearing an L in this piece. He generally wears this size in their jackets and XLs in all the shirting. This one sticks to that standard. It has a roomier cut, as a jacket should, which allows him to wear a size closer to his "normal size." We would still recommend sizing up once if you are in between sizes. Tommy is 5'9," 165lbs with a 40" chest.
