The Iron Heart Lightweight N1 Deck Jacket reimagines one of the brand’s most iconic silhouettes with a focus on versatility and all-season wear. Inspired by the U.S. Navy deck jackets of the 1940s, this version retains the classic N1 shape but swaps the heavy wool insulation for a lighter, water-resistant Japanese Ventile cotton lining. The result is a jacket that provides warmth, wind protection, and breathability without the bulk of its cold-weather counterparts - perfect for transitional seasons.
The outer shell is cut from a tough 12oz Japanese whipcord woven with hard-twisted yarns for exceptional durability. Unlike the traditional reactive-dyed whipcord used in Iron Heart’s standard N1, this version is sulphur-dyed, meaning the fabric will gradually fade and develop character with wear and washing. The corduroy-lined collar, cuffs, and pockets add texture and warmth, while the two-way YKK zipper, paracord-adjustable hem, and button cinches at the cuffs ensure a tailored, functional fit. Every stitch and detail speaks to Iron Heart’s craftsmanship - durable, precise, and built to age beautifully.

Fit Notes: Tommy is wearing an L in this piece. He generally wears this size in their jackets and XLs in all the shirting. This one sticks to that standard. It has a roomier cut, as a jacket should, which allows him to wear a size closer to his "normal size." We would still recommend sizing up once if you are in between sizes. Tommy is 5'10," 162lbs with a 40" chest.
