D1909S - 14oz "Vietnam War" Selvedge Denim - Classic Straight

The D1909S “Vietnam War” Selvedge Jeans from Studio D’Artisan explore an alternate history of denim production - imagining how a true “war model” might have looked if it had been made during the Vietnam era. Drawing inspiration from WWII’s fabric and labor restrictions, SDA reinterprets that utilitarian spirit through a 1960s lens.

The jeans are cut from a 14oz Japanese selvedge denim that balances rugged texture with a soft hand after the one wash treatment. Every detail is purposeful - from the oxidized four-button fly and engraved copper rivets to the selvedge button fly construction and tiger camo pocket bags. The fit is a classic straight with a timeless rise and clean line through the leg. Finished with SDA’s painted back pocket arcs and a recycled paper pulp waistband patch, these jeans capture a moment in time that never was, but easily could have been.

Fit Notes: These fit like a traditional pair of Studio D'artisan, which is smaller than most brands. Tommy is wearing a 34, which is his normal size. These fit absolutely spot on. A lot of the time, a higher rise lends to a smaller waist size than you would see in the trimmer cuts. So a 34.6 is quite a perfect waist fit for Tommy, and the legs fit easily because of their width. We would still recommend sizing up at least once. Tommy is 5'10," 162lbs with a 33-34" waist.
