1852S - "Amami Dorozome" Relaxed Tapered Mud Dyed Eastern Jeans - Brown

If you can't tell by now, we're stoked about the ancient mud-dyeing technique found only on Japan's Amami Oshima island. This technique blends mud and vegetable oil to create some of the most unique earth tones on the planet. We want it in every silhouette, but especially in this high-density chino. The twill has a wonderful weightiness to it that reminds us a lot of a heavyweight reverse sateen. They're dense but wonderfully smooth. They also have this incredible one-rinse treatment that makes them easy to wear upfront. We can't get enough of the fabric but they didn't skimp on the eastern details. This is going to be one of the pants of Spring that people wear all Summer long.

Fit Notes: Although these are a relaxed taper, they're still a slim fit. We always recommend sizing up at least once with Studio pants, but some people even size up twice. In this instance Tommy, our standard fit reference wears a 34 in this jean, when he normally wears a 32 from most brands. It's got a higher rise and room in the thighs with a taper to the ankle. We would recommend sizing up either once or twice from what you wear from other brands. 

Tommy is 5'10," 170lbs with a 33-34" waist.
