13.75oz - Max Brush Selvedge - Weird Guy

The Max Brush Selvedge is one of the softest denims we’ve ever handled, a 13.75oz Japanese selvedge that feels almost too good to be true. This isn’t your standard rigid cloth - the fabric has been meticulously brushed not once, but twice, first in one direction and then in the opposite, lifting the fibers and unlocking an indulgent texture on both the face and the underside. The result is denim with a hand-feel that borders on luxurious, wrapping you in comfort from the first wear. Built on a broken twill construction, the weave drops the usual diagonal lines so that the brushed character takes the spotlight. Finished with sharp contrast stitching, a rich suede leather patch, silver metallic hardware, and a crisp asymmetrical selvedge ID, this pair brings refinement to every detail while setting a new bar for softness in selvedge denim.

Fit Notes: Tommy is wearing a size 34 waist in these. These are so soft that they're going to be super easy to break in, if they require any break-in at all. That being said, they still have the structure of a heavier denim, being almost 14oz. The Weird Guy takes a bit more precise work with the measurements. You want to get something that will give you plenty of room in the legs as you'll still have nice taper to the ankle. All that being said, we would recommend buying one size up from your standard size in these. Tommy is 5'10", 160lbs with a 33-34" waist.
