Our long-awaited partnership with Post O'Alls has finally come to fruition. As we transition into a Post Heritage version of James Dant, one that doesn't shirk the traditional ways of manufacturing but accepts newer, more contemporary silhouettes...it only makes sense to work with a brand like Post O'Alls. Since its origin in 1993, this brand has been taking iconic American silhouettes and giving them a little extra. In the more recent past, this started to translate to a more modern form of garments. In a world full of "perfect fits" they were offering roomy silhouettes that drape perfectly but don't have to stick to you to look good. It may not be what "Post Overalls" stands for, but we like to think of the "Post" as meaning "after" and the "O'Alls" as meaning heritage. They've evolved beyond the ideals of traditional American menswear into a genre of their own. 

This silhouette has been in the lineup since 1993. They took a vintage garment that was relatively unknown during that period and created a denim version of it. This version is a little more refined as they've removed any detail that they felt was unnecessary to the design. They also chose to go with a 60/40 fabric with the majority being nylon and the rest cotton. It creates a gorgeous piece that feels more like outerwear, and we can speak from experience that it acts like it. It is a lovely anorak-style piece to wear in the rain. We adore the sheen from the nylon and all those extra buttons in this simplified city-use version. It's a pure utility pullover that we simply can't get enough of.

Fit Notes: As with most Post O'Alls fits, these are on the roomier side. From a majority of Japanese brands, Tommy is not able to wear mediums...but this fit with even a little extra room. For us, that is the intended fit of the brand and how we would choose to wear nearly every piece. The arms have extra room in the opening and the length is spot-on to wear with a straight-cut pant. We would recommend sticking with your true size unless you're looking for a trim fit. Tommy is 5'10," 163lbs with a 40" chest, and is wearing a M in the pictures.
